wow, I'm very impressed with the Robin Hood! I couldn't do such details in my drawing. This was fun, and I hope to do a monochromatic one too!
thanks!!

Saffron, I really like how you added more to it after you did the drawing. The watercolor pencils and watercolor add dimension and life to the drawing as well as more detail.

Jason, I liked the title to your piece but otherwise would not have known what you had drawn. The piece as is though is a nice piece of artwork because of the unity in color and size on paper.

My suggestion to get more detail is to practice drawing something small that has a lot of detail like your hand or foot. Remember to draw each crease you come to and do the nails. This will help you see your objects better and view them differently. Our minds see symbols when we look at things and if you can focus on the lines and shapes of the object rather than the whole object, you can transfer from symbol seeing to reality seeing.

Thanks for your participation and inspiration. My own understanding of contour drawing has developed from the exercise and I hope to continue to learn with all of you.

Thanks for the feedback. I used that title because I knew it would be difficult to identify what I had drawn. I hope to practice a lot more with blind contour drawing in the future.

I'm looking forward to the next assignment. I got my canvas and have begun to prime it.
