Grandma, I thought you understood the assignment best. That's definitely not the angle I see when I think of cones. Are those in your backyard? I heard you had a few changes to your backyard. I'd like to see it now.
Dad, you really need to spend more time on your art. Honestly, how long did that take you? I actually didn't see the ground in it though...It looks like it could have just been a tree so the title makes the piece more interesting.
Haleigh, it's interesting to think that when I think of a phone, I don't think of a cord or the old style phone but rather a cell phone. Interesting idea.
Grandma- I liked your painting a lot. I had to stare at it for a while to figure out what it was. It was visually interesting.
Dad- I thought you did amazing. Karleigh, if you think of viewing a grape leaf and looking straight down from the side yard wall it makes the picture a lot more better. Plus, I thought it was amazing that he did one considering he has worked a million hours this week.
Haleigh- I thought your piece was terrible. Your phone was proportionally very incorrect. If it weren't for your title no one would recognize what it is. The phone call story though was very interesting. I think you would make a exquisite writer.
Karleigh- Oh wait, you didn't do one.
Haleigh I really liked your picture. One usually doesn't view a phone flat on it's back, so it was a different view and the phone cord immediately let the viewer know what it was. I thought the words under it represented words coming through a telephone line, so the concept was very good.
Rett Haleigh's explanation helped, but I was not as excited over this piece as most of them you do.
Sandra Faye Yes the cones were in my back yard in back of the shed. Usually they are in the back of Grandpa's truck. I guess Haleigh isn't as familiar with construction or she would have recognized what they were. I made sure the yellow flag with the word caution showed up to help identify the subject, and there is a little bit of same same different in the picture as well from last weeks lesson. I need constructive criticism so I can improve my art work Rett? Karleigh?
Karleigh where is your art work? Having a two year old is no excuse not to complete your projects
Rett I would really like to here your comments on everything. If you don't have time, tell Haleigh and she can post them for you.
I have enjoyed seeing other peoples work. I hope some will continue to put their work on this blog
Samantha went to girls camp, and going on vacation next week
