I really am impressed by everyone's artwork this week. (makes me shamefully of my 15 min throw together piece...I really should put more time into it.)
I'll critique later and I'm excited to see everyone else's critiques. :)
Samantha: Your drawing goes with the assignment perfectly. When I look at it I immediately start making up a story to go along with the girls’ loneliness.
Dad: Even though your picture doesn't look like Karleigh that much, I still think you did a great job. I am glad you used green like I told you to.
Grandma: The Green with Envy was my favorite out of all previous assignments. It looks like a statue out of a Shakespeare play I am reading. It is amazing. I love the orange against the blue.
I also of course, always enjoy your landscaping.
ME: The charcoal one looks better in real life. The computer version sucks. I think my bubbles one went with the assignment a little better.
Karleigh: I liked how you used Repetition. Spend more time. Don't be hypocritical and get mad at us. bleh. (I am kidding).. I actually do really like it.
Sam You have a very strong feeling of loneliness. The color gray helps portray this as well as making the other people in shadows, which seems to leave the girl all alone. You also have achieved depth in your use of shadowy figures. Possibly the triangle shape at the top is a little distracting.
Rett Gorgeous as usual. The use of the strong blue made me a little sad ( or maybe it was just coming from Sam's lonely picture) and I know it is Karleigh. You are doing better on your figures.
Haleigh Bubbles makes me laugh every time I see the picture. Great job on the mood. Fun picture
Karleigh Good idea I had to zoom in on the sad picture to tell what it was. At first I thought it was an ant with a rope around its neck (poor thing), but upon zooming in I thought Oh yeah That was a neat idea.
